Educators

Why should educators get involved in Learning Auckland?Learning qualification

Having an educated, engaged and motivated population is going to be increasingly important for social, cultural and economic engagement. Signing the Accord and making a commitment to improving education in Auckland spans further that your day job as an educator.

It means going the extra mile to share your love of learning, encouraging the people you come across to be more active in their support of education, and connecting with others within and outside of education to support actions that will make a tangible difference to education outcomes in the city.

How can I help?

  • Check out the Talking Matters page for ideas on how you can contribute to this exciting project
  • Share your knowledge about what works for you in teaching and learning with other educators within and outside your sector – for example by joining in the discussions on this site
  • Encourage students to seek work experience opportunities so they can start to see the skills they need for the workplace, and liaise with local businesses to create the opportunities for students to be involved
